Breizh Amerika was hosted at the Chateau de Tronjoly in the city of Gourin by local organization, Bretagne Transamerica, for an evening cocktail to promote links between Brittany and the United States.
Gourin mayor, David Le Solliec, was presented a gift by St Patrick Day Parade Foundation Chairman, Hilary Beirne, in honor of Interceltic relations. Gourin's population has long had a special relationship with North America as over 80,000 persons from the region immigrated during the last hundred years. The city still boasts a replica Statue of Liberty in its central square.
